Built for Black women who brew.
Wine tracking, education, and community built around homemade winemaking culture.
Overview
A community-centered approach to homemade winemaking.
Sistahs Who Brew was created to give Black women in homemade winemaking a space that felt intentional, welcoming, and built around the way real brewers create, learn, and share their process. The platform combines wine tracking, batch management, recipes, hydrometer logging, education, and community features into a mobile-first experience designed specifically for homemade winemakers.
From fermentation tracking to recipe organization and community interaction, the experience was designed to make home brewing feel less isolating, more organized, and more connected to culture and creativity.
The Challenge
Most brewing tools felt overly technical, outdated, or disconnected from the culture and creativity behind homemade winemaking. There also wasn’t much visibility or representation for Black women in the space, especially within digital brewing tools and communities.
The Solution
Sistahs Who Brew was designed as a mobile-first wine tracking and community platform centered around homemade winemaking, education, creativity, and representation. The experience combines batch tracking, recipes, hydrometer logging, reminders, and community interaction into a space built specifically for Black women who brew.
The Impact
The project helped create a more intentional and culturally connected experience around homemade winemaking while building visibility, representation, and community for Black women within a space where they are often overlooked.
